Yet another weekend is ahead of us, and we have another recommendation for a movie, for you to watch. As for next recommendation for a movie that is “overlooked-but-damn-worth-watching” I’d like to present the french movie “Haute Tension (2003)”. This is a (as the title already said) high tension, horror / thriller R-rated movie with extreme blood and gore scenes. 

Alexia travels with her friend Marie to spend a couple of days with her family in their farm in the country. They arrive late and they are welcomed by Alexia’s father. Late in the night, a sadistic and twisted killer breaks into the farmhouse…

Starring: Cécile De France, Maïwenn, Philippe Nahon.

Director: Alexandre Aja.

Chainsaw Award in 2006 for Best Actress to Cécile De France, at Fangoria Chainsaw Awards 2006;

Scream Award in 2006 for Best Foreign Movie, at Scream Awards 2006;

Best Actress to Cécile De France, Best Director to Alexandre Aja, Best Make-Up to Giannetto De Rossi and Grand Prize of Europian Fantasy Film in Silver to Alexandre Aja, at Sitges – Catalonian International Film Festival 2003.
