The Lost Room (2006)

For this weekend, unlike the previous ones, I decided to recommend a different type. Don’t get me wrong, it is a movie, but the difference is that it has 3 parts for the complete story. Not quite a trilogy, but it more of a its-that-long-for-a-single-story-to-tell kind of thing. Anyway, I’m talking about the “The Lost Room” (2006). Its incredibly mesmerizing and thrilling sci-fi story, that kept me at my seat until I watched all three parts one after another.

“The Lost Room” revolves around the titular room and some of the everyday items from that room which possess unusual powers. The show’s protagonist, Joe Miller, is searching for these objects to rescue his daughter, Anna, who has disappeared inside the Room. Once a typical room at a 1960s motel along U.S. Route 66, the Lost Room has existed outside of normal time and space since 1961, when what is referred to only as “the Event” took place.

Starring: Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, Peter Jacobson,

Director: Craig R. Baxley
